Documentary team looking for contributors…do get in touch with them!
We are looking for current or future interns to contribute to an investigative documentary for a major broadcaster. If you’re currently working as an intern and feel you should be being paid at least the minimum wage for the work you’re doing, or you’re about to start an internship and don’t know how you’re going to afford it please get in touch with Sean at Snapper TV- sean@snappertv.co.uk or 07730575867
If find this request for intern contribution a bit strange. Is this documentary simply reiterating a foregone conclusion that all interns are overworked and underpaid? In this case it’s more of a visual op-ed than a investigative documentary.
Why not ask for a intern input generally to portray a broad spectrum of intern experiences?
Working on a Scotland-wide internship programme as a Policy Officer for an independent Scottish think-tank I am not impartial here, but most, if not all, of our interns at Adopt an Intern enjoy their internships, benefit and contribute tremendously (All interns with the Adopt an Intern programme are paid at least the minimum wage).
Hi Sascha,
Good point- any interns that have had a positive and well-paid experience feel free to get in touch with Sean as well. We’re basically happy to help documentary makers who want to raise awareness of all aspects of internships (although as you know we’re very much not in favour of unpaid internships) and that’s why we posted this request on the site.
I’m very glad that you pay your interns (or at least those on Adopt an Intern?)- we’d be interested to hear more about this scheme. I’ll make sure Snapper TV see your comment
Thanks!
